Every year, historian and storyteller Sriram V curates the Chennai Heritage–Madras Musings Lecture Series, bringing together stories, insights, and conversations that make us see our city in a whole new light.
This year’s line-up is as engaging as ever, and we at Hanu Reddy Residences, Poes Gardens are thrilled to be hosting one of the sessions right here at our heritage property – a space often chosen as a boutique hotel in Chennai and one of the most charming event venues in Chennai for intimate gatherings.

Sunday, August 31, 2025 – WASH Lab – A Dialogue with the Public Toilets of Chennai. It’s not your typical heritage talk, but trust us, it’s going to be an eye-opener. Expect thoughtful discussion, interesting perspectives, and maybe even a few surprising stories about something most of us overlook in our daily lives.
The format is simple and inviting: arrive at 5.30 pm for refreshments, let the evening breeze of Poes Gardens set the mood, and settle in for the talk from 6.00 to 7.00 pm. No prior registration, no fuss – just walk in and be part of the conversation.
